The Colorado Choir’s members come from all walks of life, united in our love of choral music. Last but not least, we would like to introduce you to some of the members of our 1st Soprano section. They’re all staying home right now but look forward to singing for you again next Christmas.
Allison H.
Years with the Choir: This is her second year back, but she also sang with the choir about 20 years ago
Fun Facts about Allison:
- Allison has played piano since she was 3 years old.
- She played the role of Judas in a production of Jesus Christ Superstar in college.
- She attended seminary.
Dana E.
Years with the Choir: 6
Fun Facts about Dana:
- Dana’s a worship leader at a church in Arvada.
- She has two boys, Silas and Asher, who are 9 and 7.
- She loves to bake pretty things and has become obsessed with making fresh sourdough bread.
Faith P.
Years with the Choir: 3
Fun Facts about Faith:
- Faith has been to almost 20 countries.
- She loves chocolate so much, she thinks it should be its own food group!
- She’s a huge Colorado Sports fan – Nuggets, Broncos, Buffs…
Julia C.
Years with the Choir: 6
Fun Facts about Julia:
- Julia was a personal translator for Harvey Milk’s campaign manager, Anne Kronenberg, when she came to her town in France.
- She thinks rats totally rule.
- She’s allergic to garlic.
Kirsten P.
Years with the Choir: On and off since she was 16 – non-stop since 1989
Fun Facts about Kirsten:
- Kirsten’s dad, Randolph “Casey” Jones, started the Colorado Choir in 1979. She feels blessed to sing in the choir with her husband, Jay; daughter, Rikka; and her brother, Nathan Jones.
- In addition to singing, she loves family, fishing, and traveling, sometimes all at the same time!
- Her happy place is an island on a lake called Bad Medicine.
Molly B.
Years with the Choir: First Season
Fun Facts about Molly:
- Molly has confirmed during quarantine that’s she’s EXTREMELY extroverted and likes meeting new people.
- She moved from DC to Denver last year and joined a few different things to start making friends: The choir, of course, an improv class, a social volleyball league, and a book club.
- She is on a mission to find her ideal coffee shop in Denver. So far Devil’s Food Bakery is a top contender, but it’s missing a comfy couch.
- Molly and her roommate have recently gotten a puppy! She’s very excited to have the extra motivation to go on walks and is committed to helping train the pup.
- She really likes to go contra dancing and swing dancing and is so excited to be able to do that again eventually.
