- He once guessed the answer for Final Jeopardy before the category was announced.
- He ran his first mile at age 26 and a marathon at 29.
- He has tremendous vertigo.
David S.
Years with the Choir: 1st season
Fun Facts about David:
- He was born and raised in Leadville, Colorado, where he taught music for 30 years and spent 17 years as a wrestling coach and 4 as a golf coach.
- He and his wife Carol sang for Casey (the Choir’s founder and first conductor) at Adams State and their daughter did her student teaching with the Choir’s own Ms. Kelly.
- He is a survivor of Stage 4 bladder cancer.

Fun Facts about Mel:
- He’s an Outdoorsman at heart who is a knucklehead fly fisherman, big game hunter, and amateur photographer.
- He plays keyboard in The Big Onions Rock & Blues Band.
- Singing in The Colorado Choir is equally important, there’s really nothing like it.

- He’s on the faculty of the Physics Department at the University of Colorado, Denver.
- He’s a handbell ringer and enjoys fishing, woodwork, electronics, and backpacking.
