The Colorado Choir’s members come from all walks of life, united in our love of choral music. We’ve introduced you to our members in the past, but want you to meet some of our new members this season!
Gabriel V.
Section: Tenor 2
Fun Facts about Gabriel:
- This is Gabriel’s first time singing in a choir since graduating from college in 2016.
- His degree is in theatre with a minor in music.
- He spent most of 2021 driving all across the United States before landing back in Colorado.
- He is currently working as an indoor rock climbing instructor.
- Gabriel is eager to share his passion and his love with this group and this music.
Katie H.
Section: Soprano 2
Fun Facts about Katie:
- Katie is a data analyst at a community mental health center.
- Besides singing, another favorite hobby of hers is Irish Dance. She takes classes several times a week and does competitions.
- Katie also plays in a ukulele orchestra.
Sarah S.
Section: Tenor 1
Fun Facts about Sarah:
- Sarah is an environmental engineer, working to remediate contaminated soil and groundwater sites around the world.
- She has been singing for most of her life in choirs, acapella groups, and musicals and also enjoys playing piano.
- As a Vermont native, she’s enjoyed exploring the mountains of Colorado for the past few years, particularly biking, hiking, and snowboarding.
- Sarah’s grandfather, John Mayasich, is a gold and silver Olympic medalist in US hockey and is in the US Hockey Hall of Fame. Sarah, unfortunately, did not inherit any hockey genes.
