Bob McSherry joined the Colorado Choir its very first season – in January of 1977 – and sang with the group for more than 42 years.
Bob was very personable and an excellent story teller, talents he used to share jokes that could make you groan and smile.
Robert J. McSherry held both a BA in Elementary Education and a Master’s of Fine Arts from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. He worked under the tutelage of the Colorado Choir’s founder, Randolph “Casey” Jones, which greatly influenced his musicianship and confidence. He was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran and Catholic community of Faith in Denver.
Casey gave Bob the task of managing CDs and cassette tapes for the Choir – a service he performed for more than 20 years. He joked that Casey forgot to tell him how to resign from the position…
Bob will be missed by many and certainly missed by the Colorado Choir. It has been our privilege to sing with him for so many years.
