At our March concerts, The Colorado Choir is proud and pleased to present the World Premiere of “Abandon” written by Z. Randall Stroope and commissioned by The Colorado Choir. It is a stunning piece of music that is the focal point of the performances.
I have been asked, “Why songs of love and loss? It sounds like a sad concert.” Life, and “Abandon,” express both. We know that loss is inevitable, but we focus our lives on love. Love of God, of Family and Friends, of the Earth, of humankind and of course, romantic love.
My hope is that these concerts will prove to be inspiring, thought-provoking, and reflective. We sing for you some of the most beautiful music ever written and offer you the chance to be among the first to experience “Abandon.”
