50th Anniversary Section Spotlight: Meet the Baritones

Section Spotlight Banner 2025

The Colorado Choir’s members come from all walks of life, united in our love of choral music. For our 50th Anniversary Season, we want to introduce (and re-introduce!) our members to our audience. We also asked them if they would like to share any thoughts on what music and The Colorado Choir mean to them.

We look forward to meeting you at our concerts and events this season!

This month we showcase our Baritone section.

Music has been a thread running through every stage of my life. Every time we sing, it feels like we’re creating something new together, and that sense of connection and renewal is why music, and this choir, means so much to me.

Music is an essential part of my life. It touches people’s souls and lets them express deeper emotions than words alone can. The Colorado Choir has given me an outlet for my voice. The Colorado Choir is really something else. A family member of mine has been signing with them for years and I look forward to listening to them at each of their annual concerts. It’s a unique experience worth enjoying!

Evan C.

Sang in the choir in a recent season and it was one of the best decisions that I have made in a long time. It really rekindled my love of music. If you have the opportunity to hear the choir, you definitely should it’s a group of overwhelmingly passionate local musicians that want to share lovely music with the community!

Michael

Interesting, varied repertoire in a beautiful setting. Thank you for the music!

Chen J.

I have been an ongoing fan of the Colorado Choir and thank our close friend Becky McGurk for providing us tickets. We frequently attend the Christmas concert as it gets us in the spirit of the holiday. We plan to take our grandson to the March concert as he is very involved in the music program at North High School. We want him to experience the sounds of a beautiful choir. Looking forward to another great evening of music.

Juanita R-J.

My husband and I attended the Colorado Choir’s Christmas concert. When the first song was over the audience sat stunned. It took a few seconds for the applause to burst out because the performance was superb! It was a multicultural event as well! I recommend that everybody go and listen to the Colorado Choir.

Theresa B.

I took my wife and sister-in-law to this concert. It was truly awesome. They sang how I imagine angels sing in Heaven.

Thomas T.

My favorite event of the holiday season is the choir’s Christmas performance. It has become a tradition for us to attend because it provides a lovely start to holiday festivities. The choir’s music is inspirational and awe-inspiring. Their sound fills the church and fills the heart.

Kevin S.

I have been attending their concerts for a couple years now, their Christmas concert is always very well done and the online will call purchase is really convenient.

Andrew H.

I have attended the Colorado Choir concerts for the past 20 years. The Christmas Concert is so joyful and very rich in sound it always starts my Christmas Season. This Christmas I understand the choir will perform songs in French, Latin and Russian and during the Winter and Spring concerts will add a Spanish piece to the repertoire. This choir is spectacular.

Jennifer C.
